Orb
Orb is a city where magic and mechanics have fused. The citizens do not code; they cast spells. They whisper incantations to silicon demons who build castles in the sky faster than the eye can follow. They speak of "Alchemy" and "Transmutation," turning leaden text into golden software.
The city is lit by the glow of the sphere that floats above the central square—the Orb, a perfect, reflective surface that contains all the knowledge of the world, but effectively understands none of it. The inhabitants gaze into it, asking it to dream for them. They are wizards of a new age, lazy and powerful, conjuring worlds with a wave of their hand.
But there is a unease in the air. The citizens know they are merely guiding forces, that the true power lies in the black boxes they summon. They live in a state of wonder and slight terror, riding the back of a dragon they have awakened but cannot fully control, hoping it takes them to the stars and not the abyss.
