Flutterna

Flutterna is a city that changes its shape with the mood of its architect. It is built of a translucent, flexible material that can be molded by a mere gesture of the hand. In the morning, the city might be a series of floating platforms connected by waterfalls; by evening, it has reconfigured itself into a dense lattice of neon-lit alleys. The inhabitants are obsessed with the concept of "rendering," believing that the world is created anew every sixty milliseconds. They carry small chisels made of light, constantly shaving off rough edges and smoothing the transitions between one moment and the next.

Traversing Flutterna is disorienting, for the ground beneath your feet feels less like stone and more like a fluid that has momentarily decided to be solid. The citizens speak in a language of widgets and trees, describing a house not by its walls, but by its relationship to the parent structure. They value speed above stability, and beauty above permanence. Flutterna is a testament to the idea that a city is not a place, but a performance, continuously redrawn for the pleasure of the observer.
